Driver dies in crash following police chase－linecoupler

An investigation into a fatal crash south of Beatrice Saturday afternoon continued through the weekend, and officials expect to release more information Monday.

Approximately five miles south of Beatrice, the driver turned onto East Oak Road and accelerated.

One mile later, near the intersection of East Oak and South First Road, the vehicle struck a bridge railing over a creek and entered the south ditch where the vehicle flipped onto its top, officials said.
