CHRISTIAN REITH had a rare win in the stewards' room at Kembla Grange on Wednesday when he beat a careless-riding charge on Totally Devoted in the day's opener.

Stewards charged Reith after James McDonald on Kyoto had to check as he looked for a run early in the straight.

Reith successfully argued that he was sufficiently clear of McDonald when he looked to edge to the outside to make the run.
