Rimrock Group, a Colorado Springs-based engineering firm, has been acquired by Denver-based BCER Engineering.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Rimrock Group's office at 10807 New Allegiance Drive, Suite 400, will remain open and staffing will not be affected.

'There are no plans to eliminate positions at either company, and all employees will continue to work from their current offices in either Arvada or Colorado Springs, ' a news release stated.

Rimrock specializes in the design of Internet technology infrastructure, telecom, audio/visual and security data systems. The company designs those systems for health care facilities, justice and detention centers, K-12 education buildings and corporate and government buildings and higher education facilities. Rimrock has designed systems for Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, Nor'wood Development Group and Real Time Logic in the Springs, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and others, according to the company's website.

BCER and Rimrock have worked together on several projects, including most recently the new Auraria Science Building and Remodel, the new Children's Hospital in Highlands Ranch, Vestas manufacturing facilities and the Williams Village Towers for the University of Colorado, according to the news release.
